SO happy Little Caesars brought back their Bacon Wrapped Crust DEEP! DEEP! Dish pizza. Here's a review I did on my other blog back when it first hit the market..
My son and I have performed reviews on several Little Caesars menu items in the past that the company enjoyed, so they reached out and offered us an opportunity to sample their newest creation.
These wonderful pies are HOT-N-READY everyday between 4 & 8:00 PM and are available for a limited time at participating locations for $12 plus tax.
Cooking and baking with bacon is nothing new, and I've seen many pizza creations that feature all types of bacon goodness. However, baking it into the edge crust of a pan style pizza is sheer genius, and a refreshing new take on this type of pie.

I am a huge fan of bacon and an even bigger fan of pizza, so it probably comes as no surprise that my son feels the exact same way. Heck, the first solid food to ever pass his lips happened to be pizza.
However, even with his great love of pizza, in most cases.. he won't eat the last remnants of his pizza crust (sacrilege I say!)
I decided to pick up a Bacon Wrapped Crust Deep! Deep! Dish Pizza, and test a hypothesis I had about finally being able to get him to eat his crust.
Here's how it went down at dinner..
Here ya go Son
eat this pizza.. crust first
It hits him that this is no ordinary crust
Still seems a bit apprehensive
Success! Junior says:
"All pizza should have bacon crust!"
"All pizza should have bacon crust!"
I was worried that the actual pizza I brought home would look very little like the masterpieces shown on their television commercials. I mean c'mon, we've all experienced this phenomenon with big chain eateries. However, as you can plainly see, it was every bit as beautiful as the pizza featured on TV.
Through force of habit, I didn't attack my slice of pie crust first like Junior did. However, the first bite was full of bacon flavor. This was partly because of the bacon pieces sprinkled on top, but also as a result of the bacon wrapped crust.
Quite a bit of bacon flavor actually transfers past the edge crust and further on into the pie. Finally, the great thing about these slices is that you get 16 crunchy corner slices total, with two crunchy and bacony sides per slice!
A big thanks to Little Caesars for reaching out, and facilitating our review of this great pizza via a gift card. For more info on their company and news, check out Little Caesars on the Interwebs!
All in all, everyone in my family loved the Bacon Wrapped Crust Deep! Deep! Dish Pizza. Make sure to run out and bring one home before the end of its limited run. I know I will definitely be bringing more of these home soon. Heck.. who am I kidding? I'll most likely bring another one home tomorrow night!
